The Johnston Community School Counseling program is a comprehensive K-12 program. Our standards and benchmarks are aligned to the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) model.
Mission
To provide a safe and supportive environment in which all students acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for academic, personal/social, and career development enabling them to become lifelong learners and contributing citizens in a changing world.
The K-12 program provides elementary classroom guidance and small group as well as individual counseling opportunities. Check out the JMS and JHS websites for more information for students including course selection, test dates, visiting college, and more.
