Becoming Involved
The Johnston Early Learning Academy Advisory Council is a group of parents, teachers, administrators, community members and Area Education Agency staff who meet several times a year. During these meetings, all early childhood programs are discussed. This is a place for parents to take part in recommending possibilities for improvement in our early childhood program. It is a way to have a voice in the preschool community and to learn more about our early childhood education program offerings.
For our council to be successful, we would like at least one parent from each classroom to attend the meetings. Emails are sent out and posting information is available prior to our meetings via the Johnston Early Learning Academy website. If you’d like to find out more ways to be involved, please contact our Johnston ELA coordinator, Joy Palmer.
