Welcome to Beaver Creek Elementary!

Beaver Creek was built in 1997 and was the third elementary school in Johnston. The school building is also a source of pride for the Beaver Creek community. It boasts 96,000 square feet of learning space available for students including collaborative learning spaces for each grade level, two computer labs, two art studios, two music rooms, a full sized gymnasium, a separate lunchroom, and over thirty-five classrooms. A new, secured entry was completed in the summer of 2016 to enhance building security

Eric Toot is the principal at Beaver Creek. He, along with 70 teachers and staff members, are committed to students and work hard to ensure every student makes growth during the school year. There are 25 kindergarten through fifth grade homerooms at Beaver Creek. The school has a full time guidance counselor, a full time teacher librarian, and a full time nurse.

Every student at Beaver Creek goes to PE, Art, and Music classes every week. The Extended Learning Program (ELP) serves our students requiring academic enrichment. There are reading support personnel to assist our students with reading/literacy skills, and four different special education programs are available for students who present unique learning needs.

We welcome you to visit our school! All visitors to the building will be directed to the front office to gain access to the rest of the school. Please call our office (515-278-6228) to arrange a visit.
