Summit Chess Club will be starting this November! Sign-ups will be sent to parents and students as well as posted around the building starting in October.

SUMMIT MIDDLE SCHOOL GARDEN CLUB

Summit Middle School Garden Club will meet on Thursday, Sept. 15 in room #129 after school until 3:30.

T-shirt designs for the Garden Club are due to Mrs. Barlow by our meeting on Thursday after school.

Hispanic Heritage Month

September is Hispanic Heritage Month!  Stop in and pick up a book from our display filled with books written by Latinx authors and/or featuring Latinx characters.

Back by popular demand is our “Book in the Jar” contest!  Stop in the library to look at the jar and make a guess as to what book you think is in there!  Bring your iPad to record your guess or use this LINK!

Featured Book of the Week

Black Boy Joy is a collection of stories by some of the most popular African American male authors (including Jerry Craft, Jason Reynolds, and B.B.  Alston) writing middle grade books today.  These stories all celebrate being an African American boy in America.
