Featured Book of the Week:

Starfish is about a girl named Ellie who is tired of being fat shamed.  Ever since she was little she remembers kids (and adults) mocking her for her size.  When Ellie discovers her love for swimming and finds a few allies, her life begins to improve for the better and she learns how to stick up for herself.   This book is beautifully written in verse.

JOHNSTON WOMEN’S GOLFERS

Attention Johnston Women’s Golfers.  Please fill out the following form to communicate your intentions for JHS Spring Women’s Golf 2022 (students must fill out the form).  JHS Spring Women’s Golf is for current 9^th-12^th graders.  However, if numbers allow, current 7^th– 8^th graders may be allowed to join the team for practices and to gain experience.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Hattel at chattel@johnston.k12.ia.us.
