IOWA LAW DAY/NATIONAL HISTORY DAY
Any students interested in developing a project for Iowa Law Day or National History Day can come to drop-in practices in Ms. Ites’s room (137) on Monday from 2:50 until 4:00 PM. Students and their families are responsible for getting a ride home following practice.

Valentine’s Day Displays
Come check out the Books Summit Staff LOVE display. Maybe you will find a new favorite based on a teacher’s recommendation! You can also write down a book that you LOVE on a heart. Random hearts will be drawn for prizes on Valentine’s Day!
Black History Month
In February we celebrate Black History Month. Stop by and find a great book about the Black experience in the United States or by a Black author. We also have a BHM Challenge this month called “Read Black”. You’ll need to come pick up a bookmark, and you keep track of every book (or every 50 pages) you read from a Black author. Prizes will be given to those that complete the challenge!
Featured Book of the Month
Eb and Flow is written in verse and alternates from the 2 main character’s perspectives. After getting in trouble in school for fighting, Eb and Flow discover they have more in common than they had thought.
