SMS CHEER CLUB

Meets first and third Tuesdays of the month from 3 until 3:45.

WARRIORS CLUB

For fans of the Warriors book series! We meet every other Tuesday in Mr. Hiatt’s room, Team Mission, from 3:00 to 3:30 PM.  Please make sure your ride is at Summit at 3:30.  For more information, please contact Mr. Hiatt at  mhiatt@jdragonmail.us

HYPERSTREAM

Tuesday and Thursday groups are up and running.  If you’d like to join, please email Mr. Motz (jeff.motz@johnston.k12.ia.us) and he will get back to you about coming to our group.  Students are currently learning to code using a language called “PYTHON” and playing video games with friends to have fun!

GSA CLUB

The Summit GSA meets second and fourth Thursdays. The next meeting will be Thursday, February 23 from 3-3:30 pm in Room 136 (Expedition Community). You must have transportation home from Summit after the meeting. Please reach out to the GSA staff sponsors, Mrs. Heston or Mrs. Brock with any questions.

GARDEN CLUB

Thank you to all who donated to our Garden Club cake kit drive. Thanks to our generous SMS community, we will be making the birthdays of 81 people a little more special this year, as that is the number of kits we were able to donate to the Partnership!

Garden Club will meet on Thursday until 3:30.

Book Madness

Coming soon!!  Watch for the annual Book Madness bracket to be up in the library next week.  You will get an email with a link to make your prediction next week on which book will win it all!  Then each week you’ll get an updated bracket to place your votes.

Featured Book of the Week

The Summer We Forgot is a thriller about these kids that don’t remember anything from going to camp last summer (like their minds have been wiped clean!).  Who did this and why?  And then when the body of the director of the camp is discovered, the kids feel even more pressure to remember what happened.
