GARDEN CLUB

Garden Club will meet Thursdays after school for the remainder of the year.

Summit Garden Club is seeking gently used garden tools and supplies.

Last gardening season, the Summit Garden Club was able to donate over 600 pounds of fresh produce to the Johnston Partnership.  Students are seeking to beat that amount this year, but we need your help!  We are seeking donations of gently used gardening tools and supplies

Items might include garden rakes, weeders, shovels, trowels, spades, pitchforks, cultivators, etc.  If your home is looking to replace your used tools and/or you are looking to make space in your storage, we would gladly take any unused/unwanted garden supplies off your hands.  Please contact Allison Barlow at allison.barlow@johnston.k12.ia.us if you have any questions.  Donations can be brought to the front office

Featured Book of the Week

Omar Rising is about a Pakistani boy who receives a scholarship to attend an elite boarding school.  This is such an amazing opportunity for Omar and his family.  But will it be all that he hopes it will be?  Will he still get to play soccer?  Written by the same author as Amal Unbound and featuring some similar characters, readers see what it is like to live and go to school in a different country.
