WEDNESDAY-A DAY

BEHAVIOR FOCUS

The behavior focus this week will be After School Activities. A reminder that After School Activities are extensions of the school day, so expectations should still be followed otherwise consequences will be given. For example, this week is the football game, remember the following:

  • Students are to stay in the assigned student section in the lower bleachers if they are not sitting with their parents

  • Students must follow ALL district employee directions

  • Students should only leave their section for concessions and the restrooms and return to their seats as soon as they are done.

  • Bring a clear bag

  • There should be no PDA

**If students are asked to leave the football game, they will be expected to leave. They cannot go sit with their parents.**

MATH COUNTS

Come join the MATHCOUNTS CLUB!!!

More than a quarter million students participate in MATHCOUNTS programs or use their resources each year. At Summit, students meet to solve problems and build problem solving skills. They will meet after school every-other week, on Mondays beginning October 4 in Ms. Lewis’s room #123 in Team Mission from 3:00 to 4:00. Students need to have a ride home at 4:00.

In January, students will begin meeting every week on Mondays after school to get ready for 4 levels of competition. This is open to any student who enjoys problem solving with others in a competitive environment. Our school competition will be in January, a local competition in February, state in March and then the National Competition.

The coaches are Mr. Steve Skinner and Ms. Linda Lewis. Anyone is welcome to join and there are links on the Activities and Clubs Moodle page under MATHCOUNTS.
