Summit Garden Club Needs Your Help!

The Summit Garden Club grew over 600 pounds of produce last year and donated it to the Johnston Partnership for people in need. This year we hope to grow even more! In the office there is a box for raising money for seeds, plants, and garden supplies. Help us help our community by donating anything you are willing to give!  We are also accepting gently used garden supplies that you may no longer have a need for in your home.  We will be collecting donations from Monday, March 21st to Friday, April 1st.

Book Madness

Our Elite Eight is set!  Congrats to the following books for moving on: Diary of Wimpy Kid series, Alan Gratz books, Raina Telgemeier books, Babysitter’s Club series, Dress Coded, Harry Potter, Crossover, and Hunger Games.  Watch for an e-mail on Monday to vote in the Elite Eight round!

Featured Book of the Week

The Inheritance Games was a super fun mystery!  When Tobias Hawthorne, a billionaire, names Avery in his will, Avery has to move to his mansion in Texas as a condition to receive the money.  The mansion is filled with angry relatives as well as puzzles, riddles, and games that Avery has to solve to figure out why she was chosen.  This book is the first in a 3 book series and is included on next year’s Iowa Teen Choice list.
