NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED SPEAKER

In our social media-fueled world, all too many of us struggle with issues of body image/insecurity, including eating disorders and disordered eating. Please consider joining the JHS XC/TF teams this coming Tuesday, March 1st @ 7 PM in the JHS Auditorium as we welcome nationally-recognized speaker/author/athlete/coach, Rachael Steil as she shares her journey of recovery from a debilitating eating disorder. While she will be speaking from the perspective of an athlete and coach in Cross Country and Track & Field, her message is one of hope and strength for anyone struggling with issues related to body image. Please click here attached flyer—Running in Silence.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your guidance counselor if you or your student is struggling with issues related to body image and/or eating disorder.

Please contact Coach Hennes (phennes@johnston.k12.ia.us<mailto:phennes@johnston.k12.ia.us>) for more information.
