WORLD CULTURE CLUB

Did you know you don’t have to speak more than one language or be from a different country to have culture? Every person has culture, and members of the World Culture Club want to learn and talk about it! The World Culture Club will meet on Thursdays from 2:50 to 3:30 in room 200. We will not meet February 24, due to conferences but will resume on Thursday, March 3. PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE A RIDE HOME!  If you want to join, ask your parents and fill out the required form here:  World Culture Club Signup Any questions about World Culture Club? Coding Club every Friday from  2:50 – 4:00 pm in Lab 142 behind the LMC (library).  You must have a ride here to pick you up at 4 pm, so if you need to contact an adult to arrange a ride, please let your teacher know and do so.

Book Madness

Book Madness begins next week!!  Be sure to vote on Monday (check your e-mail) for which book you think will be our grand champion for a chance to be in the prize running!  After a week for predictions, the Sweet Sixteen will begin on Feb. 28th!  The bracket is now hanging in the library.

Featured Book of the Week

Amanda Gorman wowed the nation when she read her inaugural poem “The Hill We Climb” as the youngest inaugural poet at just 22 years old.   Now you can read her collection of poems she has written since that day in January 2021 in Call Us What We Carry.
