SMS Announcements-Friday, Sept. 2nd-B Day

NO SCHOOL MONDAY

TUESDAY-B DAY

SUMMIT MIDDLE SCHOOL GARDEN CLUB

Summit Middle School Garden Club will meet Thursday Sept, 8 after school until 3:30 in room #129.

Our time together focuses on learning about vegetable gardening, growing starter plants, harvesting produce during gardening season, fundraising efforts, improving our current garden space, and making a difference in our community (all while having fun and building a friendship network!).  The SMS garden donates all of its produce to the Johnston Partnership, with over 800 pounds donated since spring 2021!  Come make a direct impact on your community, make some new friends, and develop skills and knowledge you can use your entire life!  No experience necessary; all experience levels welcome whether in 6th or 7th grade!

Questions?!  Please email allison.barlow@johnston.k12.ia.us

Students who are being picked up at 3:30 can be picked up on the east side of the building.  Transportation is not provided by the district.
