- Valentine’s Day! Please stop by the library to check out the display of books that the Summit staff loves and be sure to enter the February contest! It’s easy – tell us a book you love! We will draw for winners on Valentine’s Day!
- Blind Date with a Book – For 2 weeks only, take a chance on a mystery book! See the display in the library for more information.
- Black History Month – Be sure to also take a look at the Black History Month display. There are a ton of interesting books included in this display!
Featured Book of the Week
The Long Ride takes place in the Queens neighborhood of NYC during the 1970’s when they began to start bussing students to other neighborhoods as an attempt to integrate the schools. This book tells the story through the viewpoint of 3 – 7th grade mixed-race girls and their experiences going to a new school in a new neighborhood.
