MINECRAFT CLUB

Meets Mondays from 3-4 pm in Mr. Buchan’s room (233). Students are responsible for transportation home. Please see Ms. Ites with questions.

GIRLS WRESTLING

MATH COUNTS CONGRATS

We want to congratulate the team of Kate Shi, Sree Bethanapalli, Tansi Bandaru, and Joanne Foo who placed 5th at the competition and will be advancing to State at DMACC on March 23rd.  The competition is open to all 6th-8th graders and there were around 200 competitors from 24 schools. A team of all 8th graders from JMS placed 1st.

RUBIK’S CUBE CLUB

Rubik’s cube club is meeting every Thursday in Room 244 from 3:00-3:45.  Come and learn how to solve a Rubik’s cube and enjoy some friendly competitions!

SMS CHEER CLUB

Meets first and third Tuesdays of the month from 3 until 3:45. March 7 and March 21 will be our next meetings.

WARRIORS CLUB

For fans of the Warriors book series! We meet every other Tuesday in Mr. Hiatt’s room, Team Mission, from 3:00 to 3:30 PM.  Please make sure your ride is at Summit at 3:30.  For more information, please contact Mr. Hiatt at  mhiatt@jdragonmail.us

HYPERSTREAM

Hyperstream Tuesday or Thursday groups are meeting for scratch coding and playing video games. Email Mr. Motz to join or see which day to attend (jeff.motz@johnston.k12.ia.us).

GSA CLUB

The Summit GSA meets second and fourth Thursdays. The next meeting will be Thursday, March 23 from 3-3:30 pm in Room 136 (Expedition Community). You must have transportation home from Summit after the meeting. Please reach out to the GSA staff sponsors, Mrs. Heston or Mrs. Brock with any questions.
