MONDAY – A DAY

GARDEN CLUB

Do you enjoy gardening (or think you might), helping your community, and making friends?!  Then Summit Garden Club is for you! No gardening experience required and all Summit students are welcome! Meetings will be held on Thursday afternoons after school.

We will work year-round to raise funds and garner donations, prepare, plant, grow, and harvest our Summit garden!  All produce is donated to the Johnston Partnership.  So far this summer, founding member Quinnlyn Schulte has donated 366.4 pounds of produce directly to the Johnston Community!

If you are interested in joining, students can complete this Google Form:https://forms.gle/YgFwHnjofQiNXBYs7

Our first meeting will be Thursday, September 16th from 2:45-3:30 in Mrs. Barlow’s room (Mission Room 129).  If you have any questions, please contact Quinnlyn Schulte at schulte.quinnlyn@jdragonmail.us, or Mrs. Barlow at allison.barlow@jdragonmail.us.

SCHOOL PICTURES

School pictures will be next week Wednesday, Sept. 1.

NO SCHOOL Monday, Sept. 6 – Labor Day

FROM THE SUMMIT LIBRARY

Elementary Books – If you have any books from your elementary school last year, you can return them at Summit!  We will make sure they get back to the correct building library.

Follow Us – Follow the Summit Library on Instagram  (@jcsd_smslibrary) and Twitter (@jcsdSmslibrary).  See what we are up to in the library, learn about new books first, read book reviews, and learn about contests before anyone else!

Featured Book of the Week

City Spies is a fun new series about a group of kids who are recruited to join MI6 (a British spy organization).  These kids are highly skilled and each book follows them on a mission to help save the world.  Very adventurous and fun!  There are currently 2 books in the series, and Summit has both!  Place a hold on it today!
