SMS Announcements-Friday, April 28th-B Day

MONDAY-A DAY

*** All student iPads and accessories will be collected on May 31st. ***

This document explains how to transfer documents/photos off your iPad, as well as reset the iPad for turn in.

Students will turn in the following equipment:

  • School-issued iPad ($299)

  • School-issued Apple power adapter and cord ($19 each)

  • Protective case and stand ($25)

Students will reset their iPads back to its original settings.  Be sure to transfer all wanted documents/photos/videos off the iPad.

Collection Time: Wednesday, May 31st, (location and directions will be communicated at a later time)

If you are planning to exit before May 31st, please turn in your iPad to iPad HQ prior to leaving for the school year.

If the device is NOT turned in or any equipment is missing or damaged, students will be charged a replacement fee. Charges can be viewed and paid via Infinite Campus portal.

MINECRAFT CLUB

Minecraft Club is in Mr. Buchan’s room (above the LMC) from 3-4 on Mondays.  Students are responsible for their ride home following club.  Let Ms. Ites know if you have any questions.

GARDEN CLUB

Garden Club meets Thursdays after school until 3:30.  Please make sure you wear clothes that can get dirty.  Anyone can join at any time, so if you would like to join us please do!  Students need to have transportation or the ability to walk home.

CHESS CLUB 

Summit Chess Club is on Tuesdays from 2:50 – 3:30 in the Voyage Community room. Make sure you have a ride home.

MAGIC THE GATHERING CLUB

WHEN: Every other Monday, next meeting May 1

TIME:   2:55 – 3:25 pm

WHERE: Room 135 in Expedition

RUBIK’S CUBE CLUB

Rubik’s Cube club meets from 3:00-3:30 starting this week.  Here is the schedule for the rest of the year!

April 27 – 3:00-3:30

May 4 – 3:00-3:30

May 11 – 3:00-3:30

May 18 – LAST DAY OF RUBIK’S CUBE CLUB 3:00-3:30!

SMS CHEER CLUB

Meets first and third Tuesdays of the month from 3 until 3:45. May 2 will be our next meeting.

GSA CLUB

The Summit GSA meets second and fourth Thursdays. The next meeting will be today, Thursday, April 27 from 3-3:30 pm in Room 136 (Expedition Community). You must have transportation home from Summit after the meeting. Please reach out to the GSA staff sponsors, Mrs. Heston or Mrs. Brock with any questions.

School Library Month Winners

End of Year Reminders

Please start looking for your library books!  All books are due May 18th, and we will start limiting your checkouts to one or two books at a time in May.

May is Asian American/Pacific Islanders Month

Stop by and check out the display on the circulation desk of books that are written by and feature characters who are Asian American.  Lots of great options there!

Featured Book of the Week

The Lion of Mars is a fun book that gives you insight on what it would be like to live on Mars!  This book is on next year’s Iowa Children’s Choice list.
