Tuesday, November 30th and Thursday, December 2nd (3:00-3:45 in Mr. Motz’s room) are open meetings for anyone who would like to learn more information about the Hyperstream Club that begins the following week. The topics listed above will be covered along with organizational information if we need to have 2 sections, groups, etc. This club is for all students at any ability/interest level. You are welcome to come and go as you please. Please try to attend 1 of the 2 informational meetings, and I will gather a roster together and organize groups from there. If you cannot attend either day, please email jeff.motz@johnston.k12.ia.us for any further questions and have a great break!
GARDEN CLUB
The next Garden Club meeting will be Thursday, Dec. 2 after school in Mrs. Barlow’s room.
MOCK TRIAL
Summit students on the Johnston Middle School Mock Trial teams will compete at the State Tournament Dec. 1-3, 2021. Best of luck to all as they argue their case. #godragons
SWIM TEAM
7th Grade Swim Team
Students in 7th grade (boys and girls) interested in swim team, should click the Google link below and complete the form. Middle school swim team will start in February, and the season ends just before spring break. Students and parents will be sent an informational email in December and again in January.
JOHNSTON WOMEN’S GOLF
Attention Johnston Women’s Golfers. Please fill out the following form to communicate your intentions for JHS Spring Women’s Golf 2022 (students must fill out the form). JHS Spring Women’s Golf is for current 9th-12thgraders. However, if numbers allow, current 7th– 8th graders may be allowed to join the team for practices and to gain experience. If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Hattel at chattel@johnston.k12.ia.us.

Dead Voices is the sequel to the super creepy book Small Spaces. The Smiling Man is back and this time trying to get Ollie, Coco, and Brian to the other side of a mirror while they are snowed in a ski resort. If you like scary books, give this one a shot!
