If you did not attend the fall basketball meeting or fill out the google form, please stop down to Mr. Sciurba’s room (room 512) asap. JMS BEST BUDDIES PARENT MEETING
Best Buddies will be having a parent and student information meeting this Wednesday September 18th at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. Any student who is interested is welcome! We will be signing up for Best Buddies Online, so please bring your iPad! You do have to have a parent or guardian present. Any questions please email brandon.pleasant@johnston.k12.ia.us
Science Olympiad – Have a passion for STEM? Come be a part of a Science Olympiad team. Our first meeting will be Tuesday, September 24 in room 223 from 3:00 to 4:00. There are some changes this year, with a practice and a regional competition, which means some of you will get three opportunities to use what you study and build. State competition is at UNI on March 7. There is an activities bus that travels from JMS to JHS that you can use to get to practice.

The middle school weight room is open after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3-4 PM. We will be following the off-season workout together. There is no sign-up, just show up and work hard!
To All Athletes Staying for 9th Grade Athletic Practices,
Any 9th grade football and volleyball player staying after school for practice on Wednesday early out days, must report to the multipurpose room with Mr. Tobey. This will be a study hall opportunity so please bring your ipad and homework. Athletes will be dismissed to practice at 3:20 pm. Locker rooms will be locked until that time.
