Johnston soccer girls win their regional semifinal against Ottumwa, 7-0!
Eight Johnston students —Jackson Empey, Link Fisher, Declan Fitzgerald, Evan Kinnetz, Grace Kinnick, Jasmine Newman, Corey Suckow, and Emily Walker — on Thursday received their National Certificate of Achievement for passing and completing the exams and the Iowa ProStart program. The past two years these students worked hard both inside and outside of the classroom. To receive this certification, students had to complete both Level One and Level Two Courses as well as score 70% or higher on the final. In addition to the Prostart class course work, students also had to work 400+ hours in the restaurant industry and meet 52 out of 75 skills on the workplace competency checklist. Please help us in congratulating them and their hard work!!
