JHS Men’s Golf Team took RUNNER UP at State Golf Tournament!!
And Owen Howe took first place in the individual competition! It was the first time in Johnston history for an individual state golf championship. Amazing!

We won the Mid-Iowa Band Championship! Three years in a row! So many happy tears! Johnston ends the 2023 marching band competition season with a 1st place after all that hard work — early morning and late night practices since June. Also won for color guard and percussion. Go Band!

For those that don’t know, Dragon Scholarship Fund provides EVERY JHS senior that applies financial assistance as they continue their education beyond high school. We raise money in the community throughout the year to fund the need. The class of 2023 received close to $100k in financial assistance. We believe everyone deserves a chance to earn a scholarship, regardless of class rank, financial need, gender, race, creed, or ability.
