- FROM THE LIBRARY: Join us in the Library in March for Book Madness!! This week, come to the library to check out the “Book Madness” bracket. Make your prediction of which book will be the favorite of the Summit students in the end and win the tournament! If you predict the winner correctly, you will be entered for a prize!! Then everyday starting Monday, stop in the library to vote in each game of which book should move on to the next level of competition.
- NATIONAL HISTORY DAY: NHD drop-ins Wednesday 2:50 – 4:00 pm. All students planning on participating in NHD must stop in and see Ms. Ites to complete Registration by end of day Friday, March 1, 2019. See Ms. Ites with details.
- GIRLS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: For those students that would like to cheer on and support our basketball players, the JHS vs Valley game will be played… Thursday, FEBRUARY 28TH AT 10:00 AM AT WELLS FARGO ARENAIn order to attend the basketball game on Thursday, students will need a signed note from a parent/guardian. In order to streamline the process on Thursday morning, students will be dismissed at 8:32 and will present their signed note and then be signed out by the designated adult all at the same time. Please be patient as we sign out students. If your student is carpooling with another parent, please indicate that information in your note. Due to the 3-hour early dismissal, students will not be expected to return to school after the game.
- SUMMIT THEATER PRODUCTION: All play cast and crew reminder – if you would like to make a donation for cast and crew pizza, please send $5 to the office by Monday. ALL CAST 3-5 pm, Set Crew, Light Crew 3-5 pm, Costume Crew 3-4 pm, Front of House 3-3:30, Reminder- Costume Parade on Thursday!

- PE CLASSES: All PE students need to bring their iPads on Thursday to class.
- CHEERLEADING–8TH GRADE: Interested in trying out for 8th Grade Cheerleading? Plan to attend one of our informational meetings to learn about tryouts. All students interested in trying out for a fall or winter cheerleading squad must have at representative attend ONE of two parent/cheerleader information meetings prior to tryouts. *Monday, March 11th at 6 pm OR Tuesday, March 12th at 7:30 pm in the JHS cafeteria. Attendance at one meeting is required in order to tryout. Tryout forms will be handed out at this meeting so you must attend in order to receive the tryout paperwork. Even if you aren’t sure, plan to attend this informational meeting so that you have the information you need to make the decision that is best for you.
