FROM THE LIBRARY

Featured Book of the Week:

One of my favorite fantasy series of all time is Gregor the Overlander.  It is written by Suzanne Collins (of Hunger Games fame).   Gregor lives in New York City, and his dad has been missing for almost a year.  One day while Gregor is in the basement laundry room of his apartment building, his sister crawls over to a heating grate that is loose in the wall.  Gregor goes over to move his sister away from it, and the next thing he knows both Gregor and his baby sister fall down through the grate.  They fall for a very long time, but eventually land in a whole new world underground.  In the Underworld, there are large bats, roaches, rats, and an entire group of people that live down there!  It’s an exciting series filled with adventure as Gregor tries to make his way back home (and maybe find his dad in the process)!

Need a book?  Go to the Summit Library website to reserve a book or two to pick up.  Place a hold on a book that is “IN” and you’ll be able to pick it up from the purple cart in the front entry of Summit between the hours of 7:30-3:45.  Not sure how this process works?  There’s a video on the Library website that will walk you through it!
