Featured Book of the Week:

Katherine Applegate’s newest book (she wrote The One and Only Ivan) is Home of the Brave.  This book is written in verse and follows Kek’s journey from growing up in Africa to moving to Minnesota as a refugee.  There are a lot of adjustments that Kek has to make to get used to living in the United States.  As he’s learning many new things, Kek is constantly worried about his mom that has not yet made it to America.  Is she alive?  And if so, will they be reunited?
