NATIONAL HISTORY DAY AT SUMMIT

Do you like learning the story behind events in history?  Are you interested in showing your passion for a specific time or event in the past?  All Summit students are invited to participate in the 2021 National History Day Competition.

On Monday from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm there will be an informational Zoom meeting for students interested in participating in National History Day this spring.  This year’s theme is Communication in History: The Key to Understanding.  Ms. Ites will be sharing the theme, a general overview of the NHD research process and project entries, and how the virtual competitions will work.  We also will discuss the best times to set up future Zoom practice sessions.

Hope to see you there!

Featured Book of the Week:

Crossover by Kwame Alexander now has a graphic novel version of the Newbery winner from 2015.  This book tells the story of two brothers who love to play basketball.  But really it’s a story about growing up and finding yourself in Middle School which can have a lot of ups and downs.  It’s a popular one, so put it on hold today!
