Registration for 2025-2026 begins next week

General Registration Ad 2JOHNSTON, Ia. (Feb. 3, 2025) — The Johnston Community School District’s registration for the 2025-26 school year begins next week. Please register your student before spring break!

New this year, registration for all grade levels begins at the same day and time — 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10. Everyone must register online at johnstoncsd.org/school-registration. 

Preschool for 2- and 3-year-olds

If you’re registering a 2- or 3-year-old in preschool, you must also reserve your spot and pay for your student at johnston.ce.eleyo.com. This can now be done on the same day as online school registration, beginning at 7 a.m. Feb. 10. 

Preschool classes for 2- and 3-year-olds are first come, first serve. If your desired course is already full, add your child to the waitlist. Children must be age 2 by Sept. 15, 2025 to enroll in 2-year-old preschool and age 3 by Sept. 15, 2025 to enroll in 3-year-old preschool.

Deciding between DK and Kindergarten

Developmental Kindergarten classes are also first come, first serve, although there is no fee associated with that enrollment.

New vs. continuing families

Please note there is a different link on our School Registration page if you’re new to the district and do not have any other children enrolled, vs. if you’re a family continuing with the district. 

We recommend you use a laptop or desktop computer to complete the online registration. You will not be able to complete registration on a mobile phone. We recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox.
