Johnston unveils new mascot

JOHNSTON, Ia. (Sept. 1, 2022) — The Johnston Community School District proudly introduces its new mascot, JD (Johnston Dragon)!

Welcoming him is the JHS varsity marching band and representatives of JCSD Admin, cheerleaders, dance team, school board, the Johnston mayor, swimming, men’s and women’s golf, girls’ and boys’ cross country, volleyball, football and the JHS Student Council.
