Softball, Baseball Earn Academic Awards

The Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union & The Iowa High School Athletic Association recognizes teams and cheerleading squads which collectively have excelled in the classroom. Each student-athlete on the team will receive a certificate for their personal accomplishment, and the achievement will go on record at the respective associations.

There are two awards which may be earned:

• Excellence in Academic Achievement Award: This award will be given to teams achieving a combined grade point average of 3.0-3.24.
• Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award: This award will be given to teams achieving a combined grade point average of 3.25 and above.

Varsity Boys Baseball, earning a team cumulative team GPA of 3.369 and receiving the Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award

Varsity Girls Softball, earning a team cumulative team GPA of 3.728 and receiving the Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award
