Johnston Students Design Greendays T-shirt

Annually, the Johnston Chamber supports a t-shirt design contest for the summertime Greendays community celebration. Entries are submitted by Johnston students from all schools.

On May 26, school winners and the overall t-shirt design winner were recognized at a small reception. Students were honored for their talents and JCSD art teachers received a $800 check to apply toward the district’s art program. Thank you to the Johnston Chamber for supporting arts in our schools and this fun t-shirt contest!

JCSD Art teachers were given a check for $800 from the Johnston Chamber.

Charlotte Kenworthy, a kindergartner at Horizon Elementary, was named the overall winner of the t-shirt design contest and will have her artwork featured on the Greendays t-shirt.

A student from each school was chosen as their respective building winner.
