Student Council hosts “Coaches vs. Cancer” Feb. 4

The Johnston High School Student Council is hosting their annual Coaches vs. Cancer event this year on Thursday, February 4 during the Boys/Girls basketball games vs Waukee.

Last year, this event raised nearly $1,000 to support kids with cancer, and the students are looking for even more this year! Due to COVID restrictions, the Coaches vs Cancer raffle will be online. Student Council students will also be selling Fatheads to be placed in the stands at all home winter events starting Thursday February 4, 2021. You will have the option of purchasing a single ($25) or double ($40) cutout photo.

To purchase your fan cutout please visit the link below where you can purchase your cutout and upload your photo directly to the LRI Graphics website. Half of all the proceeds from the Fathead sales will go to the American Cancer Society. The last day to purchase a fan cutout is Tuesday February 2 by 12:30 p.m. If purchased after, we cannot guarantee the fan cutout to be on display for the game on Thursday February 4. Once all winter sports have concluded, you will be contacted to pick up your Fan Cutout at the high school to keep as a keepsake. Thank you for all of your support! Go Dragons!

Picture requirements for Cutout:

For the single cutout- make sure the photo is of one individual and is from the waist up.

For the double cutout- make sure the photo is of two individuals and is from the waist up.
