Xan Taylor Receives Golden Plaque Award

JHS Bowling Coach Xan Taylor

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has awarded Xan Taylor, JHS Head Varsity Girls Bowling Head Coach, the Golden Plaque Award – one of the highest honors given out by the IGHSAU!

Coach Taylor is not only a champion for Johnston High School bowlers but was instrumental in growing the sport of bowling in the state of Iowa over the years. Coach Taylor will be recognized at the 2021 State Bowling Meet. She joins other JHS coaches past and present – Todd Merical (SB), Steve Smith (Girls Golf), and Shari Walling (Girls Swimming/Diving) as Golden Plaque Award recipients.
