Amburgy Named JCE Aquatics Coordinator

Christina Amburgy has been hired as the new Johnston Community Education Aquatics Coordinator, effective July 1. She fills the position left vacant by Deb Blanchard’s retirement on June 30.

Amburgy brings a variety of aquatics experiences to the position including serving most recently as the aquatics manager at a local fitness center. As the JCE Aquatics Coordinator, Christina will manage both community education and school district responsibilities. In addition to providing leadership to all community education aquatics programs, Amburgy will coordinate with district pool user groups to ensure the pool at Summit Middle School remains a safe place delivering high quality experiences for our students, our student athletes, and our community.
