Mock Trial Teams Head to State

On Monday, Nov. 11, students from Summit Middle School and Johnston Middle School made up four of the 46 teams that competed in the regional mock trial competition at Franklin Junior High Event Center. All four of the Johnston teams made it into the play-off round and competed on November 12 for the nine available spots at the state tournament.

Coach Molly McConnell reported that three of the four Johnston teams are moving on to the state tournament! Congratulations to teams Purple, Dragon, and Firestorm! Also congratulations to the following students who earned outstanding awards at the regional tournament:

Teams will compete at the state tournament next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (November 19-21).
