Dowell Receives 2019 James Madison Foundation Fellowship
Jessica Dowell, a world studies/history teacher at Johnston High School, has been named the 2019 recipient of the James Madison Foundation Fellowship. This fellowship is awarded to one teacher per state per year, and covers the full cost of tuition and other costs towards a Master’s Degree in American History or a related field. Ms. Dowell adds to Johnston High School’s solid tradition of winning this award, with past winners including Ben Knight, Tom Griffin, and former JHS teacher Jeremy Yenger. Dowell currently teaches World Studies, AP U.S. History, and World History.
