Marci Cordaro Appointed to Board of Directors

At the Feb. 25 board meeting, Marci Cordaro was appointed to the JCSD board of directors, filling the recently vacated seat. Marci will serve on the Mental Health and Student Well-Being Committee and Board Policy Committee.

Marci and her husband Kelly have lived in Johnston since 2003 and are the proud parents of two Johnston graduates. Sam graduated in 2016 and Sophie graduated in 2017. She served on the Johnston Community School District Board of Education from 2009–2017 and continues to be an active volunteer for numerous organizations in the community. Marci is a registered nurse and is currently the Manager of Corporate Health for Meredith Corporation in Des Moines. She holds both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing from the University of Iowa. Marci was appointed to the board in February 2019. Marci will serve on the Mental Health and Student Well-Being Committee and Board Policy Committee. Marci’s term will expire in 2019.
