Last Day of School Update

As of today, March 1, 2019 we have missed two days of school due to weather. By law, students are required to attend a minimum of 1,080 hours each year. Our current academic calendar exceeds the minimum requirement providing us flexibility in how we approach our make up days.

It was decided at the Feb. 25 board meeting that if we DO NOT miss any more days because of weather, Friday, May 31, will remain the last day of school for students and teachers will be provided professional learning for two additional days. Certified staff’s last day will be Wednesday, June 5, 2019.

However, if we DO miss another day of school, all three days will be made up, and the last day of school for students would then be Wednesday, June 5. Certified staff’s last day would be Thursday, June 6.

We will continue to monitor the calendar as we proceed through March.
