In Iowa, Lee, along with a student from Dowling Catholic, were named a honorable mention recipients and will each receive a $500 scholarship for their efforts. After playing the award-winning game, PAYBACK, students wrote a 250 word essay answering one of these questions:
What steps can you take NOW in order to complete college with as little debt as possible?
Or
How has the PAYBACK game changed your perspective on the real-life decisions you will make when paying for college?

Shafer and Bousum, along with other business/finance teachers from across the nation, then nominated the best student essay from their classes.
