JCSD Activities Update Jan. 18-19

As of Friday, January 18 at 2:30 p.m. the following activities scheduled for Saturday, January 19 have been cancelled:

  • Boys basketball at Cedar Rapids
  • Dance at SE Polk
  • Wrestling at Urbandale
  • Boys Swimming at Ankeny

(Jan. 18, 9:30 a.m.) Due to the inclement weather forecast, all Johnston schools will be dismissing two hours early today, Friday, January 18. There will be NO afternoon developmental kindergarten or afternoon preschool; morning development kindergarten and morning preschool will dismiss at their normal times. All afternoon/evening activities are cancelled. KTC will close at 5 p.m.

Secondaries will dismiss at 12:50 p.m. and Elementaries will dismiss at 1:35 p.m. All bus routes will run as they normally do, just two hours earlier.

The Friday afternoon/evening portion of Showzam! has been cancelled; please watch the district website, social media channels, and television for updates regarding Saturday’s performances.
