District Launches Family and School Partnership Survey
The strength of any school district lies in its relationships with families. At Johnston Community School District, district and building leaders, along with school staff, are committed to fostering those relationships to create a school culture where students come first. To do that successfully, family input is needed.
In the JCSD Family and School Partnership Survey, parents will be asked how well the district shares information and involves them in their children’s learning. You’ll also be asked if the district is successfully collaborating with parents and providing children with the best possible education. This feedback will give district leaders insight into current relationships and help them identify how we can improve them.
Parents with a current email address on file with the district will receive an email invitation and survey link. Surveys are offered in English and Spanish. Paper surveys are available upon request at the district’s Administrative Resource Center, 5608 Merle Hay Road, Johnston, IA 50131. The survey opens February 20 and closes March 8, 2018.
The Johnston Community School District has partnered with independent research and communications firm, K12 Insight, to administer the survey and compile the results. All responses are confidential; no one at the district will know who participated or be able to connect participants to their responses.
District leaders would like to thank all parents for their participation in the survey. They look forward to strengthening their relationship with this important audience so children can continue to receive the high-quality education they deserve.
