Woodley Named 4A Football Coach of the Year
The Iowa High School Football Coaches Association has named Johnston High School teacher and coach Brian Woodley the Class 4A Football Coach of the Year.
Traditionally this award is given to the coach who wins the 4A State Championship. With an outstanding 8-1 record, the Dragon football team – and their coaching staff – surprised many and earned recognition for their hard work on and off the field. After winning Districts, the Dragons faced Dowling in the semi-finals, losing by three points. For many, it was an unforgettable season.
The Iowa Football Coaches Association is a statewide organization, serving all Iowa football coaches and providing resources on team development and coaching. Information is not yet available on when Woodley will be honored with the award.
