JMS Open House Rescheduled for Aug. 24
Johnston Middle School staff are now in their new home at 6501 NW 62nd Ave, or the former Johnston High School. Over the summer, crews put in long hours to complete building 
renovations, including HVAC updates, aesthetic finishes, and a new front entry way (estimated to be complete in September).
A JMS Open House was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. Because crews recently finished the work and some teachers have yet to fully move into their rooms, building leaders have made the decision to move the open house from Tuesday evening to Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
Both volleyball and football have scheduled events for Thursday night. To accommodate student athletes and their families, the building will be open from 4-5 p.m. so they may walk around and find their classrooms. For the rest of students and their families, please joinJ MS staff from 5-7 p.m. as they welcome you to the new building. Please do not bring supplies, as lockers will be given out on Friday during orientation.
The following doors will be open that evening: #1, 2, 15, 21 and the gym doors for the volleyball game.
