Making History: Johnston’s Patrick Bose Wins XC Title
Johnston’s Patrick Bose capped off his senior season by winning the class 4A state Cross Country title on Saturday. Patrick won with a time of 15:37, six seconds ahead of the second
place runner. Patrick becomes the first-ever individual state champion for Johnston’s Cross Country program from either gender. As a team, the Dragons finished in sixth place overall. It was the fourth time in five years the Dragons have finished in the top 6 at state (2012 – 6th, 2013 – 2nd, 2014 – 3rd, 2016 – 6th). Congrats to all of the runners, Coaches Matt Jaschen and Pat Mattingly, and all of the Dragon parents and supporters on a great season! Below are results from the state meet.
