Girls Cross Country Crowned State Champs
The 2016 Class 4A Girls Cross Country State Champions and coaches Chris Siewert and Pat Hennes.
The Johnston Lady Dragons dominated the Class 4A State Cross Country meet on Saturday, Oct 29 in Fort Dodge by winning the state title with a meet record low score of 26 points. Dubuque Hempstead was second with 91 points, and Iowa City High took third with 121 points. This is the second title in the last three years for the Dragons. Congratulations to all of the cross country runners, Coaches Pat Hennes and Chris Siewert, and all of the Dragon parents and supporters on another great season.
