Notice to Parents Regarding Teacher Qualifications

Parents/guardians in the Johnston Community School District have the right to learn about the fallen qualifications of their child’s teacher: the teacher has met the licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas taught; whether the teacher is teaching under Emergency or provisional status through which state licensing criteria have been waived; the undergraduate degree major of the teacher, and and graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, including the field of discipline of the certification or degree; if your child is provided services by paraprofessionals, their qualifications.
