Basketball- Adult Open Gym

Adult Basketball Open Gym is for ages 30 and over. No children are allowed. Please bring a white and dark option to play in. You will sign in and pay at the gym door.  Please don’t enter the gym until you have signed in and paid the supervisor.

  • Wallace Elementary Gym (6207 NW 62nd Avenue in Johnston), Park on west side in parking lot and enter through Door #9
  • Sundays from 6:00 – 8:00pm
    • November – March
  • $5 cash per person payable at the door

Basketball- Family Open Gym

This is an open gym basketball for families.  Youth ages 15 years and younger must be supervised by a responsible adult (21+years) and only ages 6 and up are allowed.  Parents or those adults supervising are allowed in for FREE. Full court games are NOT allowed and no organized practices are allowed.  Please bring your own ball with your name on it as basketballs won’t be supplied.

  • Located at Beaver Creek Elementary (8701 Lyndhurst Drive in Johnston). Enter/exit on the SOUTH side of building, Door #3
  • Sundays from 4-6pm
  • November – January
  • $5 cash per child payable at the door

Pickleball- Adult Open Gym

Self-refereed pick-up games for ages 18+ and out of high school. No children are allowed. First come, first serve for play, with player alternation after each game. You will sign-in at the door.  JCE has partnered with the City of Johnston to provide open gym pickleball at NO COST to participants.
