Travel around the world through movies! Earn a new stamp for your passport each day as we watch a movie from a different country then explore that country’s culture through fun activities. Campers will receive a free t-shirt, plus a light snack each day, including movie theater popcorn on Friday.

Come record your song at Girls Rock! Des Moines! Community Record Day is an all-day recording session serving emerging musicians. Solo or duo acts aged 12-24 can apply to have a song recorded for only $50 at the GR!T records studio! Musicians will receive a professional live recording of their song.

The Grand Blue Mile, presented by Wellmark, is a one-mile run/walk in downtown Des Moines for all ages. New in 2025, Spike’s Sprint lets kids 10 & under race in three divisions and earn a special giveaway. Enjoy family fun with bounce houses, face painting, and the Mascot Madness race!

The annual Drake University Voice Intensive (DUVI) is a summertime camp designed for young singers ages 14+ to develop their voices and build confidence in performing and auditioning.

We are starting a troop in the area that GSGI staff will be helping with for the first FOUR meetings. We'll provide all of the resources and supplies needed. You'll make new friends, enjoy fun activities, and so much more! Note: grown-up(s) required to attend meeting.
